Distribution of Food and Health Safety Kits to the Migrant Families, Street and Working Children and Youth affected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19)

Bosco Seva Kendra, Hyderabad, 31 March 2020:  Mahatma Gandhi states, “There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”  Similarly, quite a few CSOs, individuals and businesses have already been pitching in to help the citizens and government through various initiatives with the hope that humanity would survive these dreadful times of coronavirus onslaught.

From distributing food to providing masks and sanitisers to contributing monetary aid many CSOs have united to help citizens and government and to fight the virus, which is rapidly spreading.

BSK (Bosco Seva Kendra), a Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad had pledged to deliver food and health assistance for the Migrant Families, Street and Working Children and Youth affected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19) lockdown with its slogan “LET US SAVE LIVES”. The BSK provided food support through Food and Healthcare kits to such families in the areas viz., Gudimalkapur, Bowenpally, Chandrayangutta, Kuntluru, Jawharnagar- ECIL and Alwal in Hyderabad to help them have a reliable door-to-do0r distribution of essential commodities in the absence of employment opportunities.

BSK running an online donation campaign promising to distribute Food & Health safety kits to 1000 families of daily wage earners in Hyderabad and other cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
