On June 20, 2012 Fr Mallavarapu Rayanna was installed as the Rector of the community of Don Bosco Philosophate, Karunapuram. Officiating this formal ceremony which formed part of the Holy Eucharistic celebration was Fr Raminedi Balaraju, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad. In his homily, Fr Provincial highlighted the characteristics of a leader and singled out the virtue of commitment as one of the most essential. The Holy Eucharist which commenced at 6.30 pm witnessed Fr Rayanna professing the formula of faith and signing the official documents. The fellowship meal brought to end the event.
