
The first 'Regional Bosco Come and See Fest' was held in Don Bosco Academy Nalgonda from 21st to 23 October 2012. Forty-five students aspiring to join us from all over Telangana region took part in it. The whole event took place with the active guidance, support and collaboration of Fr Gopu Anand, the director of Nalgonda Academy, Fr Vatti Balashowry, Fr Bhasker, Br Naresh, Alex, Ravinder, Swaroop and Suresh. The community placed this event as part of their annual feature and their contribution to the vocation animation. They decided to conduct the vocation camp every year during the Dussera holidays.
Fr Vatti Rayappa, Fr Narisetty Sagar were also present to animate the sessions for the students besides the fathers and brothers of the Academy. A fitting introduction was given on how to understand God's call in one's life and the process of discernment, The second part of the presentation was held on 'knowing Don Bosco, the congregation and its mission.' The participants also were briefed about the complementarity of Salesian vocation as a brother and a priest.
