all smiles as they plant‘The best and the most equipped college in the mandal.' These were the words of Mr. Laxmi Narayana, the Circle Inspector of Chandur, a great friend and well wisher of Don Bosco; attending the Tree Planting ceremony at Don Bosco Junior College Chandur on 5 of November, he insisted on the prominence of maintaining the environment green. "We need to protect nature as we struggle to raise our standard of living; economic progress cannot be achieved at the cost of nature." He said as he quoted Karl Marx. Mr Shaker, the Sub Inspector of Chandur also was present for the occasion.
Students on this day planted 250 sapling and promised to look after them during the year. The initiative to plant saplings from the management and the students stood as an inspiration to the people of the village. Fr K.K Joseph, the Director, Fr Arogya Sagar, the principal were the persons instrumental for the meticulous planning and the organization of the event.
