A week long inter-school cricket competitions at Don Bosco Academy Nalgonda on 12th saw the culmination of the special event in the form of the final match between M.V.R Galaxy School and Don Bosco High School. Since the fifth of this month the Academy on a regular basis had been conducting a series of matches in its campus. The Director of Don Bosco Academy, Fr Gopu Anand in his inagural address briefed the gathering about the spirit and pedagogy of Don Bosco and also declared the tournament open. Mr Srinivas Rao, the Traffic Circle Inspector of Police, and Fr Bhaskar, the headmaster of Don Bosco School were present for the occasion.

Vishwadeep High School, Sandeep High School, M.V.R Concept School, B.B.C Public School, Don Bosco High School, M.V.R Galaxy School were among the twenty two other schools that participated in the matches from zones of Nalgonda District. All these under-16 matches were played for 15 overs each. The matches were conducted with the motive to foster peace, team spirit, integrity and friendship among the students as well as to introduce them to the arena of international cricket.

On the last day winners from the M.V.R Galaxy school and the runners up, Don Bosco high school teams were felicitated. Ms Antonia, the chief guest presented to the winners the Don Bosco Inter School Cricket Tournament Cup and gave away winning medals. All the teams were appreciated for their sportive spirit.
