Provincial Visitation at Pedaboddepalli

Fr Raminedu Balaraju the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad initiated his canonical visitation at Pedaboddepalli, Vishakhapatnam on 7th and 8th of January 2013. He spent his day giving conference to the confreres, meeting them individually and collectively. He also interacted with the neighbouring sisters of St Ann, Parish Priest, Salesian Co-operators of the locality and the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution. A considerable amount of time on the second day of the visitation was spent in the substations of the mission Parish. The work done for the tribal villages by Bosco ITDS (a center for Education and Empowerment for Tribal and Rural Poor) impressed him most. Villagers of the substations received him warmly and honoured him in their villages. All the parishners and the villagers were appreciative of Fr. Provincial for his presence and the message that he left on everybody saying, "The Purpose of Education is to make one honest in his or her life."
