Vijayawada- January 11, 2013: Don Bosco school Guntupalli organized the annual sports day in the school grounds on 11th and 12th of January. The entire sports day is designed to elevate the sporting talents of the school and to appreciate it. Students from first to tenth class are divided into four groups with names Bosco, Savio, Rua and Rinaldi to participate in sport events and games. The thoughtfulness of the management in conducting vollyball, throwball, football, shuttle and running at senior, junior and sub junior level has encouraged the young latent talents of the school to expose their skills at various Venus. This energizing two day long sports day has kept the students and the school activity packed. Savio group has procured the overall championship. G.Venkat of ninth class from boys and from girls Madhuri of tenth class are the overall individual champions in sports events. Prizes to the winners are given away on 12th evening in the presence of the parents, teachers, Staff and the students. Fr Johnny Director of Don Bosco School is the chief guest for the occasion. He emphasized that games and sports play an important role in all-round development of a child.
