A group of MSW (Master of Social Work) students from Don Bosco Academy, Nalgonda, led by Prof. Naveen, from the  Dept of MSW, have participated in ‘Dhruti’ an international conference on “Global Public Health & Social Sciences” at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences on 12th January, 2013 at Cochin, Kerala. As many as 600 MSW students, Research Scholars, Social Work professionals, Professors and delegates from America, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Italy, South Africa, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Australia have attended this conference.

The conference provided the students with the insights on building up a research paper and the strategies to be followed for the presentation of new researches by the social work professionals. Students on attending this conference grasped the scope of the study in the future with all its pros and cons.  The Students also presented a paper on dowry systems that is still present in Nalgonda District. There is also an appraisal from the organizing body of the conference as five of the academy's students have come forward to present their research papers for the next conference in 2014. Kudos to Fr Anand the director and Fr Balashowry the principal of the Academy for providing its students with the global exposure.
