Don Bosco Birdy (Bosco Institute for Research and Development) Organized the annual Youth Fest on 26 January in Hyderabad. Five hundred youngsters from 15 different youth centers participated in this two day youth fest. Youth and Media was the theme for this event.
Flagged off with the Inaugural Ceremony in the presence of Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the vice Provincial of Salesian Hyderabad, Fr Pandicherry Joseph, Rector of Birdy, Fr D. Raja the youth Animator of the province and few other dignitaries the programme took off on a high note from the beginning. Fr. Arikotlapu Vidya Sagar (Mass Comm, Philippines ) was the resource person for this occasion. His talks on the first day were an amalgamation of motivational talks, video presentations, meaningful input sessions on social media like facebook, twitter, linked-in and others… and their positive uses. Youngsters from 15 different centers across the state of Andhra Pradesh along with the guests of honour enjoyed the lectures on tactics of advertisements and film appreciation. The holy Eucharistic Celebration and the positive energy from the prayers of Fr Gopu Anand added spiritual dimension to this event. The Family Circle arranged in the auditorium regaled the audience with lots of fun and frolic. The two day programme was concluded on 27th afternoon. The meticulous planning and implementation of Fr Raja with the help of BIRDY Community and Don Bosco Parish youth, Bandlaguda was well appreciated.
