With the Chapter reaching the penultimate day, several aspects were fine-tuned and important decisions almost made. Matters regarding studies in Gunadala, financial stability, assistance of children with special needs were discussed and some clarity arrived at. A great amount of the day and discussion was on finalising the text of the document proper, the one on the theme of the Chapter: Mystics, Prophets and Servants.
Some of the significant proposals and deliberations of the third day were, shifting the intermediate section of Gunadala to Chandur to facilitate aspirants to choose from the wider option of courses available in the Chandur college rather than study the only and outdated HEC (History, Economics and Civics) combination; setting up of a health fund for the confreres by way of an annual contribution per head; initiating a centre for children with conduct disorder in the Province; appointment of a full-time delegate for social communication and some relevant matters concerning the Commissions.
Other matters concerning the dual roles of the Rector and administrator being carried out by the same confrere, submission of the house council minutes to the Provincial office every month, signatories of the registered society members, and concern for one another, especially the senior confreres were discussed in brief.
Earlier in the day, the Holy Mass was was presided over by Fr Vatti Rayappa and he spoke on the theme 'servants of the young'. In the evening session, the Moderator, Fr Thathireddy Vijayabhaskar presented the evaluation of the previous General and Provincial Chapter and also a review of the Provincial Organic Plan was carried out.
Though the schedule was quite tight, the Chapter members happily and actively involved themselves in all the discussions and deliberations. Besides, the meals and other moments of togetherness during breaks witnessed a great amount of interaction among the confreres, especially on the lighter side.
