Don Bosco Academy, Nalgonda, will be hosting the national AICUF (All India Catholic University Federation) Summer Program on the topic “Politics of State Division and its Impact on the Marginalized People.” The program is scheduled from 21st to 25th May.
As a part of the preparatory work for the program, Br Vincent IMS, a Research Assistant from AICUF National Secretariat, Chennai has visited Don Bosco Academy for a pilot study on 17th April. On his arrival Don Bosco Academy has inaugurated its AICUF Unit Office in the presence of Fr. Anand, the Director, Fr. Balashowry, the Principal, Fr. Bhasker the Head Master and Bro. Vincent. Appreciating the good works of the students, Fr. Anand has congratulated all the organizers for their hard work and affirmed that he would support this cause. He also expressed his delight in saying that this is the first ever AICUF National Summer Camp in Andhra Pradesh and Don Bosco, Nalgonda is an apt place for this initiative. Br Vincent, has appreciated the preparatory work done by the Don Bosco Academy student organisers and said that the forthcoming camp would be the best among all other camps conducted.
The All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) is a movement of university students who stand for the service and liberation of all human persons, as Jesus did, irrespective of caste, gender, language or belief. It aims to enable students to develop a critical outlook on National and International concerns to cultivate a genuine interests for the oppressed and marginalised. The AICUF functions at the national, state, regional level units. At present AICUF functions in 14 States of India having more than 50,000 students.
