Don Bosco Academy, Nalgonda initiated the summer camp for the children of the diocese. Bishop Govindu Joji, the 
Bishop of Nalgonda on 2nd of May officially inaugurated this summer camp at Don Bosco Academy. 300 children from different villages of the district participated in this 5th Annual Summer Camp. The management is glad that the response from children to the summer camps organized has been increasing every year. Amid Joy and festivity the Bishop also released a series of English grammar books prepared by the staff and the management of the academy for the beginners, learners and advanced learners of the language. Fr Anand, the Director, welcomed the Bishop and explained in detail the activities in the campus while Fr Balashowry, the Principal of the academy on this occasion read out a brief annual report of the institution to the congregation.
The anticipated birthday celebrations of the bishop surprised him as he is going to celebrate his day of birth on the following day. Fr Gopu Anand, Fr Balashowry and Fr Bhaskar solemnly welcomed Bishop Joji to cut the birthday cake in the presence of camp children. Creative cultural programme presented made the entire gathering laugh wholeheartedly. In his message, Bishop Joji expressed his admiration for the Salesians and praised the management for their selfless service to the poor youth.
