The First vocation Camp of the year got a head start on 18th of April at Don Bosco Aspirantate, Gunadala. Fr. Rayappa, the Director of Gunadala inaugurated the camp with solemn Eucharistic celebration. Fr. Joji the vocation promoter of the province was also present for the celebration. 40 students from different districts of the state took part in this camp which held for a week. Although the prime place was given to the students to reflect on God's call in one's life the boys also were given the opportunity to learn spoken english, volley ball and basketball under the able guidance of Bros Palem Jeevan, Koluguri Raju and Simharayalu. The sessions during the day mostly on topics like history of Don Bosco and his congregation. These were interactive and inspirational as they contain value based input about the congregation and its founder. Classes taken by Bro Gregory on the importance brotherhood in Salesian family had given the boys a different outlook towards living the same Salesian life. Boys unleashed their energies and creativity during mini Olympic Games and talent shows organized in the campus. The recollection animated by Fr Thota Mariadas amidst these activity filled days and nights had brought another occasion to the boys to consolidate their discernment. A pilgrim tour organized on 21st to Pedda Avutapalli and Gunadalamatha grotto to promote devotion and fervor among the students served its purpose.
