Don Bosco Navajeevan, Punganur animated a summer Bible camp for the Catholic children in the locale from 25th April. The programme got off to a good start as Fr. Shanatha Murthy, the director of the institution inaugurated the camp and welcomed the children to feel at home in Don Bosco.  Cl. Guptha along with Mr. James and few other collaborators organized this five day camp. The active presence 50 Children in the institution made the programme effective. The camp aimed at equipping the children with strong Christian values and hence session were designed to achieve this purpose. The classes were on topics like catechetical prayers, mass prayers, life stories of the saints, fours Gospels, Virgin Mary and St. John Bosco. Students were divided into four groups during the camp and competitions related to concerned topics were held among them. The Salesian style of organizing party songs and games besides spontaneous family circles arranged everyday in the evening rejuvenated the kids in their summer vacation. The excitement reached its zenith during the concluding ceremony on 30 of the month as the cultural event showcased their latent talents of these children through various events. Boarding facility provided for the boys and girls from substations was appreciated. The children went home with lots of experiences and profound Christian values.
