Don Bosco shrine, Bandlaguda successfully completed the summer bible camp on 15th of May. 60 children of the parish attended this 15 day camp primarily to learn catechism, communication skills and western dance. Br Thumma Pradeep in coordination with the parish priest Fr Papaiah planned and organized the camp. Few sisters as well as Br Sudheer played an active role in the camp. Children were divided into small groups and competitions were held every day. The classes were arranged from 8 a.m to 12 p.m and everyday in the evenings the children got together at the parish premises to pray the holy rosary followed by the Eucharistic celebration. The camp was lively as the brothers exhibited their Salesian dexterity at making the children learn diligently with fun and frolic. The camp concluded with a grand cultural celebration in the presence of parishners, Charity sisters and few other well-wishers. Fr Puthussery Sojan, the economer of the province was the chief guest for the occasion. The celebration was studded with dances, songs, party games and skits done by the camp children. Tokens of appreciation were given to the children for their active participation and involvement during the camp. The smart work done by the teachers and brothers was showcased in the concluding ceremony by the children and entire programme was well appreciated by the parishners. Kudos to the organizing committee for meticulous planning and execution of the programme.
