With hundreds of devotees around, the St. Antony’s Industrial Institute Kadapa has begun the Novena to St. Antony, the Patron of its institute, on 4th June. This novena service signifies the forthcoming solemnity of St Antony on 13 of the month. On the evening of Tuesday, Fr Hrudayaraj, the Parish Priest of Vempalli, hoisted the flag of St. Antony and initiated the novena to St. Antony. It was followed by the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Jayanna, the Parish Priest of Musapet and the Dean of Kadapa Deanery. In his short, Fr Jayanna spoke about St. Antony and his great human qualities.
Many devotees offered presents to the saint and flocked to the statue with candles in their hands to receive blessings on this solemn occasion. This special devotion to St. Antony is increasing rapidly among the faithful here. The harmonious music and the choir aided the faithful to pray devotedly.
