Social Media is the in-thing for the progress of the youth today. The youth of Pezzonipet, RCM Church had a glimpse of it in a day- long Seminar at Gunadala Aspirantate. It was organized on 14.07.2013, by SIGNIS AP, a Catholic Association for Social Communication. The resource persons were Mr. Michael Peria, the secretary of SIGNIS and Mr. Antony Peria, Media communication expert. They dealt at length about the use of Media, Pros and Cons of Social Media, what youth can do with social media to develop self and forming one’s own career. They also highlighted how it could help them to be united as a youth group of a parish. The youth also received handouts of the input in the form of files. The seminar was started by a prayer said by Rev. Fr. Rayappa, the Rector of Gunadala Aspirantate. The youth participated actively through group discussions and other sharing. Kudos to Rev. Fr. T. Mariadas, the Parish Priest, who spearheaded the Seminar. The youth felt that they benefitted from the seminar.
