The annual spiritual retreat II of the St. Joseph Hyderabad Province (INH) concluded today, drawing around 50 confreres for a transformative week of reflection and prayer. Led by Fr. Gandhi Kallarasan SDB from the Chennai Province, the retreat ran from November 4 to 9 at the Provincial House and focused on rekindling the attendees’ dedication to their faith and mission.

Fr. Gandhi emphasized the “magnanimity of God’s unconditional love” and introduced key spiritual convictions meant to deepen the participants’ relationship with Christ. He urged the confreres to keep Christ at the center of their lives, develop a thirst and longing for the Word of God, understand the power of confession to heal inner wounds, and sustain a strong commitment to their mission.

The retreat was marked by well-organized moments of silence, adoration services, and reflective prayer services, all aimed at fostering an environment for personal growth. Fr. Gandhi’s sessions, enriched with testimonies and real-life examples, resonated deeply with the participants. “These sessions brought the Word of God to life, making it relatable to the challenges we face in our vocation,” commented a confrere.

Fr. Gaddam Carlo SDB, who served as the retreat’s rector, oversaw its smooth organization. Notably, senior confreres including Fr. Madhichetty Michael and Fr. John Sebastian also attended, adding to the richness of the retreat experience. This retreat stands as a significant milestone for the confreres renewing their commitment to faith and to each other
