Don Bosco Inter-School Sports meet was hosted by Don Bosco School CBSE, Carmel Nagar, Gunadala on 5th December 2024. A day filled with lots of excitement, Cheer and expectations as to who will win the game.
The Grand opening ceremony began with a prayer to the Almighty God. All the schools with their sports men joined in one chorus with the school them song. Ten Don Bosco schools participated in the march past carrying the school flag indicating discipline, unity and sportsmanship.
The chief guest Rev. Fr. Gopu Peter SDB, the Provincial councillor and principal of Don Bosco School CBSE, Mothinagar has given the message on the spirit of sportsmanship, and to take winning or losing in a sportive spirit. The chief guest has accepted the oath from all the players, that they would abide by the rules and regulations of the meet and respect every player.
The chief guest declared the Don Bosco Inter-School sports meet open, and then all the leaders of the schools participated in ceremonial lighting of the Torch. The opening ceremony ended with the national Anthem.
The inaugural game was started by Fr. Peter the chief guest of the day by cutting the ribbon and our beloved dignitaries have started the sports meet to encourage the spirit of students.
EVENTS STARTED WITH A GREAT ZEAL AMONG ALL THE PLAYERS.
The schools participated in football and Throw ball. The players were divided into three pools. The amazing running commentary was given by Ms. Vijaya Durga (Social department), Master. Ram (class X) and Master. John (Class X) for the sports event.
These Strenuous games were played between Don Bosco institutions (Gunadala, Bandlaguda, Guntupalli (State & CBSE) Mangalagiri, Mothinagar, Nalgonda, Ravulapalem and Wyra (Khammam District) and all the audience were astounded by the style of football and throw ball players.
It was a Magnificent day filled with cheer, joy, happiness and VICTORY …. The winners in football was Don Bosco School CBSE, Bandlaguda and Runners Don Bosco school (state), Ravulapalem. The winners in throw ball were girls students from Don Bosco School CBSE, Gunadala, and runners were the students of Don Bosco School (State), Guntupalli.
