Motinagar, January 11, 2025 – Don Bosco School, Motinagar, celebrated its Provincial Community Day with the inauguration of the Savio Block, a new extension to the school building aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure. The event was led by Fr. Santiagu Thomas, Provincial of Hyderabad Province, in the presence of confreres, including Fr. Gopu Peter, Rector of the institute.

The day’s celebrations began at 3:45 PM with an animation session conducted by Fr. Justin and his team, featuring sharing activities and party games. The centrepiece of the event was the inauguration and blessing of the Savio Block, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to quality education and community development.

The Holy Eucharist followed, during which Fr. Gudiguniru Chinnappa delivered a homily stressing five key aspects for the Salesian community: Appreciation and Ownership of the Salesian mission, Celebration of Diversity within the community, Solidarity among confreres in the province, Joy in Shared Achievements, and Cordiality in relationships.

In the felicitation ceremony, Fr. Provincial emphasized unity, collaboration, and a shared mission for serving young people. He encouraged confreres to embrace patience and mutual support while working toward collective goals, acknowledging imperfections but striving for excellence.

The celebration concluded with a festive dinner, leaving participants inspired and committed to their mission of fostering growth and solidarity within the Salesian community.
