
Narsipatnam, January 18 – Don Bosco College, Narsipatnam, welcomed around 100 past pupils to its campus for the second annual gathering of its alumni on Thursday. The event aimed to foster connections among former students while emphasizing the importance of establishing a strong and vibrant past pupils’ unit.
The program commenced with a solemn prayer song, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and unity. The gathering was graced by the presence of Fr. Noel, Delegate for Past Pupils of Hyderabad Province, and Mr. Prasad, President of the Past Pupils Unit of Hyderabad Province, as the chief guests.
Fr. Noel and Mr. Prasad each delivered engaging sessions. Fr. Noel provided a comprehensive briefing on the role of past pupils in supporting their alma mater and the functioning of alumni units. He underscored the significance of a robust network in fostering mutual growth and solidarity.
Mr. Prasad shared his personal experiences as a member of the past pupils’ unit, highlighting the benefits of active involvement. He encouraged participants to take proactive steps to establish a dynamic alumni network in the region.
The event concluded with enthusiastic discussions among participants about strategies to strengthen and sustain the alumni unit. The management of Don Bosco College expressed optimism and reiterated its commitment to animating and regularizing the unit.
A special vote of thanks was extended to the college community, particularly Fr. Benny, Fr. Ashok, Fr. Upendar, Fr. Sunny, and Brothers Anthony, Rajat, and Philip, for their meticulous planning and execution of the event. The gathering ended on a high note, with participants resolving to deepen their bonds and contribute actively to the collective progress of their alma mater.
