The Khammam Diocese marked Holy Childhood Day with a vibrant celebration at Kristu Jyothi College in Reddigudam on 24 Februalry 2025, drawing 1,250 children from 17 schools and 6 parishes across the diocese. Coordinated by Fr. Thomas Korivi and Fr. Srikanth, the event showcased the Salesians’ leadership in fostering spiritual growth and practical life skills among the youth.


The day-long program featured engaging sessions on the themes of “Love of God,” “Digital Wellness,” “Self-Esteem,” and “Tips for Exam Preparation.” Fr. Justin, Fr. Sudhakar, and Fr. Joseph Palla led the animations, delivering lively and interactive presentations in the distinctive Salesian style. Their enthusiasm captivated the children, leaving the crowd energized and inspired.


The Salesians took a prominent role in orchestrating the celebration, with Fr. Pradeep, Fr. Rajesh, and Fr. Ravi spearheading the organizing committee. Their meticulous planning ensured the event ran seamlessly, earning praise from participants and organizers alike. “Special thanks to Fr. Pradeep and Fr. Rajesh for coordinating us all for today’s animation,” noted Fr. Thomas Korivi, acknowledging their critical contributions.


A highlight of the day was the presence of Most Rev. Dr. Prakash Sagili, Bishop of Khammam, who addressed the children with a powerful message. He urged them to carve a path to a bright future through discipline and dedication, emphasizing the importance of spirituality across all faiths. “Irrespective of religion, cultivate a habit of reading holy books,” Bishop Sagili advised, encouraging the young attendees to build a strong moral foundation.
