Banking on Women
A one day training programme was organized by Don Bosco Ponnur, for The Chaitanya Mahila Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society Limited (MACS) on October 26th 2012 on the theme “Banking on Women”. The Key note address was given by Fr P. Arul Das SDB, CEO of Ponnur MACS. He welcomed the participants and gave a short introduction on the training programme. Board of Directors (BOD) and leaders of the SHG and SHG members of The Chaitanya MACS, Pitlavanipalem Mandal participated in the training programme. Fr P. Arul Das emphasized on the importance of SAVINGS and importance of maintaining the SHG records. He said that it is very important to keep all the books and records properly and up to date to avail loan or any other facility from bank or government schemes. He also encouraged the members to start small business and improve their economical status. At the end of the programme third cycle of loan was given to 200 SHG women with the assistance Bosco Seva Kendram, Hyderabad.
