The Salesian Family Day in the Province of Hyderabad was organized on 10 November, 2013. Representatives from the Salesian Family (SDB, FMA, SMI, SMA, MSMHC, SC and Past Pupils) about forty five of them participated in the Salesian Family Day at the Don Bosco Provincial Hosue. Fr. Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the vice-provincial and the Salesian Family Delegate commenced the meeting and presented the Strenna 2014 of the Rector Major in the presence of Fr. Garlapati Michael Kishore (Delegate of the Salesian Cooperators) and Fr. Santiagu Thomas (Delegate of the Past-pupils). The members reflected on the Spiritual Profile of Don Bosco.
In the second session, the Salesian Family members evaluated and deliberated upon the functioning of the various units of the cooperators and the past-pupils. The members also discussed various proposals in view of the bi-centenary celebrations and the need to network in organizing local level and Province level Youth Programmes and Youth Expo.
In the afternoon the members had an opportunity to interact and know each other through lighter moments facilitated by Fr. Thomas Santiagu. The members welcomed Fr. Raminedi Balaraju, the Provincial who joined them after his canonical visitation of one of the communities in Hyderabad.
The apex of the day was moments spent in the presence God through a meaningful Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Provincial. He accentuated the need to grow in holiness after the example of Don Bosco.
