Serve Jesus in Don Bosco’s way was the call of two weeklong annual Don Bosco vocation camps held in Don Bosco, Carmel Nagar, Gunadala, Vijayawada. The first vocation camp was held from 24th to 30th April and the second vocation camp was held from 13th to 19th May. In the first vocation camp 33 students and in the second vocation camp 54 participated of those forty-seven of them were selected.
The camp days were the days of celebration, enrichment and future oriented. The participants were given great thrust in sharing their lives to follow Jesus in Don Bosco’s way. The spiritual assistance was given due priority at it is important in the process of discernment. Every day Holy Eucharist was animated our Salesians giving impetus on how one could become a good Salesian. There was also a pilgrimage organized to the well known Bro. Joseph Thamby’s tomb in Pedda Autupally besides Gunadala Matha shrine. An evening was set aside for the recollection where Sacrament of Holy Confession was administered and Marian candle light procession was organized.
