The Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK) the Development Office of Salesian Province of Hyderabad had organized one day training program on Dairy best practices for our Dairy farmers of our Self Help Groups (SHG) in following communities: 19thJune in P.T.Parru (59 members), 20th June in PARA – Ravulapalem (66 members), 20th June in BIRD-Guntur (73 members), 21st June in Don Bosco Junior College – Chandur (50 members), 26th June in Don Bosco – Punganur (60 members) on 27th-28th June in Don Bosco – Ponnur ( 208 members) whose members of our (Mutually Accredited Cooperatives Societies) MACS members promoted and supported by Bosco Seva Kendra. Resource person’s Mr.Gopi/Mr.Kesav from District Rural Development Agency whom having more than 10 year experience in Dairy activity and still they are looking after the Dairy Program under MACS promoted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Facilitator started with types of animals which is suitable to our Andhra Pradesh weather, they are Murra, Nagavuri, Grated Murra animals are very suitable for our weather conditions. Next he asked the participants, if anyone wants to start dairy activity what are the pre conditions, they are Capital, Place, Grass, Identifying the healthy cattle, Minerals, Reproduction, Milk marketing access, Veterinary facilities. If above mentioned resources are available in our villages/areas they dairy activity is best for whom have practice in dairy activity.
