NUZVIDU, August 21: On the feast of St. Pope Pius X, a former Salesian Co-operator, the Salesian Co-operators of the Nuzvidu unit joyfully celebrated Salesian Co-operators’ Day with prayer, fellowship, and gratitude.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist in the evening, presided over by Rev. Fr. Ch. Showrilu SDB, with around 50 faithful in attendance. During the Mass, 11 out of 20 Salesian Co-operators renewed their promises, reaffirming their commitment to serve the youth, children, and society in the spirit of St. John Bosco.
The Eucharist was followed by a cultural programme, which opened with a prayer song. The selfless service of the Co-operators was acknowledged and appreciated through a felicitation ceremony, after which they shared their reflections and short messages. A symbolic cake-cutting marked the joy of the occasion.
The day concluded with an agape meal, providing an opportunity for Salesian Co-operators and community members to interact more deeply and appreciate the mission they carry forward.
The event was a true family celebration, filled with faith, fellowship, and renewed zeal for the Salesian mission.
