On October 27, 2012 a day long animation programme was held for the youth of the Parish of Assumption Church, Pezzonipet. It was a day for the youth of our parish to relate, discover and rejoice at their potentialities in and through one self and the fifty other participants. The role of youth in the parish was the theme dealt with by Fr Yeruva Joji through group discussion and sharing. Church and its activities not only cater to the spiritual wellbeing but also for personality development and growth of soft skills was one of the points particularly emphasised. The youth were exhorted to make use of the Church premises for their meetings and discussions and not just for spiritual attending Mass and liturgical services.
The song and dance, meals together, group discussions, and group photos taken, strengthened the bond among them. The Eucharistic adoration provided the spiritual orientation and helped in the culmination of the gathering. The whole programme was organised under the general direction of Fr Thota Mariadas, the Parish priest. The youth themselves were the executive directors of the programme.
