Don Bosco College, Narsipatnam, held its third Past Pupils’ Meeting on January 18 with the participation of 70 registered alumni, reaffirming their commitment to the growth of the institution and service to society.

The meeting began with a prayer and the traditional lighting of the lamp. Fr Upendra, Principal, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the vital role of past pupils in the overall development of the college, particularly in the ongoing NAAC accreditation process. He urged alumni to respond to institutional reviews and feedback, which would strengthen the college’s accreditation efforts.

Addressing the gathering, Fr Mariadas, Chief Guest, called upon alumni to actively support the college through collective fundraising and social outreach. He stressed the importance of unity among past pupils and encouraged professionally established members to assist fellow alumni seeking employment opportunities.

The programme also reviewed the need for a structured financial system for the Past Pupils’ Unit and greater alumni engagement through batch-wise meetings. Mr Praveen, Vice-President, spoke on strengthening the unit’s self-sustainability, while Miss Madhurya, President, briefed members on the society registration and functioning of the alumni unit.

Staff members were felicitated for their dedicated service, and cultural performances by students added colour to the event. The meeting concluded with a call for every past pupil to become a beacon of hope for the present generation, reinforcing the enduring bond between Don Bosco College and its alumni.
