HISTORY
The Bishop of Nalgonda invited the Salesians to take over the St Mary’s High School, Kollapur and the mission in Mahaboodnagar District. It consist of a high school, a Parish and a boarding. Fr Panampara Abraham and Fr Guntaka Marianna were appointed, as the pioneering Salesian confreres, in May 2009. It was handed over officially by Bp Govindu Joji on June 10, 2009 to the Salesian Province of St Joseph, Hyderabad. Within six months of our presence, there has been a growth of six Catholic communities.
SCOPE
- The aim of the centre is evangelization, both direct and pastoral. Need for Developmental activities too could be initiated to further this cause.
- The school is to serve of the local population, especially the tribal children.
