07 June 2021, Don Bosco Navajeevan, Visakhapatnam: Don Bosco Navajeevan, Visakhapatnam organised an awareness camp on “Covid-19 precautions” for the migrant workers living in Thatichetlapalem in one of the out-reach programme areas of Navajeevan. Fr Balashowry, the Director spoke to the migrants and explained to them the uses of wearing mask, regular hand wash, social distancing and an awareness on the symptoms of Covid-19, Home quarantine and vaccination. This was explained by using the posters published by Navajeevan, Visakhapatnam for the purpose awareness creation.

After the awareness camp, 150 migrant families were provided with provision kits as they struggled for their daily living. Due to lock down, these people do not gett any work but struggle for their survival. Taking this into consideration Don Bosco Navajeevan distributed provision kits to these families. The provision kits along with toilet articles brought happiness and joy on their faces. The community leaders, youth representatives, local volunteers and Navajeevan staff participated in this programme.
