On 2 December 2012, Don Bosco Navajeevan, Kurnool was overwhelmed with the presence of hundreds of children thronging into the campus on the occasion of YaR Day 2012. The festive day began with a colourful inaugural ceremony held in the presence of many guests. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sri. S.V. Mohan Reddy, the Former Member of the Legislative Council of Kurnool. During the Inaugural ceremony, Fr Tom Chowaran sdb welcomed the gathering and the guests were received with friendship bands. The theme for the celebration was “My Education My right.” The Chief Guest declared the Sports and Games open by lighting the Olympic flame and handing it over to the first runner. There was a cultural extravaganza in the evening. This was followed by the Valedictory function. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory function was Fr Puthussery Sojan, the Provincial Economer. The ceremony came to a close with the prize distribution ceremony.
