Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad 21-23 Feb 2016: The South Asia Salesian Province Economer’s met at the twin city of Hyderabad for its annual meeting, 21-23 Feb 2016. The meeting was preceded by a day of hectic review and planning sessions for the various provinces in general. The entire meeting was hosted by the Salesian Province of Hyderabad by the Economer Fr. Puthussery Sojan and his team.
During the inaugural session the Provincial of Hyderabad Fr. Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar briefed the Economers to be Transparent at the highest level and to be able to guide and govern the province in a more efficient and effective way. There were ten Provincial Economers, Fr. Piotr and Mr.Fabio from the office of the Economer General. It was organized by the South Asian Economers’ Network. They discussed on enhancing financial administration and management in the provinces of the South Asia. They discussed on the topics such as: compliances and recent amendments in legislations relating to Income Tax and FCRA; collaboration and relationship of the office of the Economer General and the Provinces in matters relating to Rendiconto, Distribution, Solidarity etc.; enhancing collaboration between the provinces and national office of the Mission Procure at New Delhi; enhancing finance management through a Common accounting software package – AcME ERP; possible ways of collaboration at the national level in new efforts; organizing common capacity building / training programme to salesians on administration and strengthening the SPCSA Networks in financial management.
