It was a joyous occasion on 20 October, when the new hostel building for Boys was inaugurated by Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, our beloved Provincial.
The hearts of Fr Gopu Anand, the Rector, Fr V. Balashowry the Principal, that of the Salesian Community and the entire student and teacher body were filled with gratitude to God and to the Benefactors for this marvelous gift to Don Bosco Academy. The Inauguration began at 3 p.m. with the prayer and blessing of the building which will accommodate around 500 boys. Fr Provincial addressing the gathering thanked Fr Gopu Anand for his wonderful work and creative fidelity. He presented him with a memento for all the valuable services he has rendered through the years. He also thanked Fr Balashowry for his dedication and meticulous follow up in taking forward this mission project. Later Fr Gopu Anand expressed the joy of this success and explained the process involved in bringing it up. The presence of Fr Arul Das and other dignitaries, was also one of encouragement and support. This wonderful day added a lot of cheer and joie de vivre to the whole of Don Bosco Academy.
