Rev. Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, during his visit to the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, interacted with the youngsters gathered together for the Province Youth Fest, on 17 November, 2016 at Don Bosco Navajeevan Ramanthapur.
Around 1000 youngsters were gathered together for the annual Province Youth Fest on 16 and 17 November from the various houses of the province. The first day was animated by Fr Alex Michael, who discussed with these youngsters about how they could be the face of God’s Love and Mercy. The first day was made noteworthy by the presence of movie star Nikhil, the actresses Mithali Rathore and Nithya Shekar.
The Second day of the Youth Fest was the realization of a dream for most of the youngsters gathered as they had an opportunity to meet Don Bosco in the
person of Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The youngsters welcome Fr Angel with different cultural dances and a solemn guard of Honor. He was accompanied by Rev. Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, the Regional Superior for South Asia and Fr Horacio Lopez, Secretary to the Rector Major. Fr Angel challenged the youngsters gathered to be disciplined and grow up to be worthy citizens. He asked them to be catalysts of change in the society. He also underlined that the future of our Nation which has more than 40% of its population below 18 yrs, depends on the way of life of the Youn
g People.
It was indeed a memorable and unforgettable experience for all these youngsters. An experiencece which they will surely keep treasured in their hearts for many decades, that they met and interacted with the successor of Don Bosco.
