Don Bosco Shrine (BIRDY), Hyderabad, 08 August 2021: Forty youngsters from Don Bosco Parish, Bandlaguda participated in the maiden National youth Sunday celebrations at Don Bosco Provincial House. It was celebrated by following all the protocols of the pandemic, on Sunday, 8th August 2021.
The day began with Holy Eucharistic celebrations both in Telugu and English, animated by the youth of the parish. The Telugu Mass was celebrated by Father Sarath, the Vocation Promoter and Father Rayappa the parish priest, celebrated in English.
A half-day seminar was organized by Father Charan, the youth director of the province. The theme for the seminar was “Finding Purpose in life”. Father Joseph, the resource person of the day said, “we need to live our vocation in a unique manner.” Presenting about the life story of Blessed Carlo Acutis, “one must emulate the qualities of this great saint of our time and practise in our day today life” he stated.
Speaking to the youngsters, Father Joseph also highlighted the importance of the recent document by the Pope Francis Fratelli Tutti. The document invites everyone to live in the society as brothers and sisters. Father Charan, the youth director thanked all the members who have attended the meeting and encouraged them to take care about their life. Mr Anthic Joseph, the parish councilor spoke to the youngsters and advised them about planning for life. Ms Roselin, the youth member proposed the vote of thanks. After the meeting there was a group photo. The programme was concluded with snacks.
