Don Bosco Publishing House, Hyderabad, 15 August 2021: The long awaited book “ST JOSEPH: A father after the Father’s Heart” was released on August 15, 2021 by Fatherr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, Provincial, Salesian Province of St Joseph on the solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and India’s Independence Day at Bosco Institute of Research and Development for Youth (BIRDY), Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad in the presence of previous provincials of the same province Father Maddhichetty Noel and Father Medabalimi Balaswamy. The provincial recalled the 1174 literary works of our founder and father St John Bosco who wrote extensively to defend the Church and lead people to God, especially the youth.
The Salesian Province of Hyderabad is proud to present and publish this book from its publishing house as their Province Patron Saint is St Joseph. This book is a tangible tribute to St Joseph, the patron of the Universal Church and is the continuation of the theme of reflection during this year of St Joseph, as proclaimed by Pope Francis.
It is a concerted effort of South Asian Salesian fraternity coordinated by Father Baly Yerramaneni, the Director, Don Bosco Publishing house, Hyderabad. The well-known and learned Salesian authors contributed their 30 articles on St Joseph which reflect the theological, anthological, pastoral, psychological, familial, moral, and social implications for our daily living and learning. In gist, this book is an anthology of reflections on the person of St Joseph basing on the Church approved litany of St Joseph and adding a few more dimensions to it.
