The young Salesian preists meet held at the Salesian Provincial house, Hyderabad on 21 of August began with a dynamic soccer game and a serene moment of staying in the presence of the Eucharistic Lord. There were 16 young priests present for the meet.
Fr Ignatius the newly ordained priest set a tone to the whole reflection inviting all the participants to give primacy to God in every aspect of our Salesian priestly mission. Fr Provincial explained to the young priests the need for a new evangelization following the invitation of the Church and the congregation. He patiently listened also to the joys and difficulties of the young priests. Fr Simon Manjooran enriched the post tea session by drawing valuable reflections on our Salesian priestly identity from his own vast Salesian experience.
The post lunch session, usually the most difficult time was well animated by Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the vice provincial. We discussed about the need for a renewed youth pastoral ministry in our province and various other aspects of personal, pastoral and community growth.
