A two-week Summer Formation Program held at the Provincial House in Hyderabad from May 9–22, 2025, brought together 26 Salesian brothers for a transformative experience in personal development, spiritual growth, and digital empowerment
The program was inaugurated on May 9 with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a hymn to the Holy Spirit. Fr. Thomas Santiago, the Provincial, and Fr. Garlapati Michael Kishore, Vice-Provincial, welcomed the participants and introduced the sessions. Renowned resource person Fr. Joe Kokkandathil SDB initiated the opening sessions with themes centred on self-awareness, breathing techniques, and spiritual intelligence.
The early days of the program featured sessions on psycho-geometry, brain synchronization, and introspective practices like Holotropic Breathing. An evening screening of Life is Beautiful allowed for cinematic reflection and discussion on values. A recreational outing on May 12 to Leonia Resort offered the brothers a break to bond, relax, and rejuvenate.
From May 13 to 16, Mr. Prabin from TalentEase led a series of impactful sessions focused on team building, emotional intelligence, leadership, and digital creativity. Activities such as the Newspaper Tower Challenge and web design workshops empowered the brothers with modern communication and media skills.
“Sessions on empathy, resilience, and the purpose of life were truly motivating,” shared Br. Aswith in his vote of thanks, expressing collective gratitude for the insights received.
The program concluded with a deep sense of community and renewal. Both resource persons, Fr. Joe and Mr. Prabin, were honored in separate felicitation ceremonies for their valuable contributions. The Summer Formation Program continues to play a key role in preparing Salesian brothers to face the contemporary world with confidence, compassion, and competence.
