On 27th of January, Assumption Parish, Pezzonipet warmly received the statue of our Lady of Gunadala into the Parish with reverence. In view of the forth coming Gunadala Matha festival, the statue of Gunadala Matha was brought for public veneration to all the city parishes of Vijayawada. A prayerful recitation of the Rosary and chanting of hymns of our Lady reverberated the streets of Pezzonipet as the statue was brought in procession from substation in Shantinagar to Assumption parish. People of all faiths participated in the procession and joined the Eucharistic celebration thereafter. The Eucharist was solemnized by Fr. Vinay, the newly ordained priest from Rentichintala. Fr. Francis preached on the need to emulate our Blessed Mother in our journey towards sanctity. The occasion was solemnized by Fr. Mariadas with the collaboration of the parish council, Legion of Mary and other faithful. May Gunadala Matha bless the efforts of all to make humanity realize her maternal role.
