Don Bosco Shrine, Hyderabad, 24 December 2023: In a vibrant display of festive fervor, the Don Bosco Shrine in Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, hosted a memorable Christmas Vigil Mass on December 24th, bringing the community together for a night of worship and celebration.
The evening commenced with Reverend Fr Noel Madhichetty presiding over the English Mass at 9:00 pm, followed by Fr Joji Yeruva leading the Telugu Service at 11:30 pm. Both ministers skillfully guided the congregation through a spiritually enriching celebration, emphasizing the essence of Christmas. During their homilies, both Fr Noel Madhhichetty and Fr Joji Yeruva shared messages of hope, love, and the significance of the Christmas story. Their insightful reflections resonated with the congregation, inspiring a sense of spiritual reflection and community unity.
The success of the Christmas festivities was attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Parish Executive Council and the energetic youth. Their active involvement spanned beyond the Vigil Mass, encompassing the organization of enchanting carol performances, crib preparation, online Christmas competitions, decorations, and semi-Christmas celebrations. This collaborative spirit added an extra layer of warmth and joy to the night.
The leadership trio of Fr Bokkala Rayappa, the Parish Priest, Fr Baly, Assistant Parish Priest & Administrator, and Fr Medabalimi Balaswamy, Assistant Parish Priest & Confessor, played instrumental roles in guiding the congregation toward a meaningful and joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. To conclude the night of celebration, cakes and tea were served after each Mass, providing an opportunity for the community to come together, share joyous moments, and extend Christmas greetings. As the echoes of carols filled the air and the warmth of community spirit lingered, the Christmas Vigil Mass at Don Bosco Shrine truly encapsulated the essence of the season.
