Don Bosco Shrine, Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, 31 December 2023: On the serene morning of December 31st, the Parish community gathered in devotion to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, marking a day of reflection and togetherness. The day commenced with a Holy Mass in Telugu at 6:00 am, led by Rev. Fr. Shyam, weaving the first thread of spiritual connection among the faithful. This was followed by another Telugu Mass at 7:15 am, presided over by Rev. Fr. Rayappa, further solidifying the community’s bond in prayer.
The morning’s spiritual journey continued with a Holy Mass in English at 9:15 am, conducted by Rev. Fr. Joe Arimpoor, offering a trilingual embrace of the Parish’s diverse community. The day’s observance was not just a tribute to the sanctity of the Holy Family but also a preparation for ushering in the New Year with reverence and hope.
The evening brought a special New Year Vigil, beginning at 8:30 pm with an English Mass led by Rev. Fr. Joe Arimpoor. This was followed by a soul-stirring Thanksgiving Adoration Service by Rev. Fr. Vanga Joseph, setting the tone for reflection and gratitude. The vigil culminated in a Telugu Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Thomas Santiagu, the Provincial, who illuminated the significance of the coming year as a period of spiritual growth, fresh starts, and a deeper commitment to faith.
Fr Provincial’s message during the New Year Vigil Mass inspired worshippers to face the opportunities and challenges of 2024 with renewed courage and conviction. As the community stepped into the New Year, they carried with them a sense of unity, faith, and the grace of the Holy Family, ready to embrace all that lies ahead with open hearts and unwavering faith.
