Don Bosco Ongole inaugurated ‘Skill Training and Employment Programme for the Unemployed’ three months Programme for the poor rural catholic youth of Nellore Diocese. The programme began with a solemn mass preceded over by Fr. Ignatius, the Vicar General of Nellore Diocese. There was an inaugural ceremony soon after the mass. The chief guest Fr. Ignatius inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The chief guest in his inaugural speech appreciated the good efforts of the DB Ongole, is doing for the welfare of the poor rural catholic youth of Nellore Diocese. He also urged the participants to give full attention during the classes and learn the skills properly for a brighter future.
Fr.Mariadas SDB welcomed each student for self introduction in the line of their past conditions and asked them to express what they are really expecting from this three months programme. After that the respective programme co- coordinators had spoken on the importance of the training, computer applications, communications and the placements in various companies and hotels of Ongole town and other states. Altogether there were good number of students had enrolled their names for the training but due to the strikes only 25 were present.
