Deacon Gorumuchu Christuraj sdb was ordained a priest by the Most Rev. Polimera Jaya Rao, Bishop of Eluru, Don Bosco Church, Ravulapalem, on January 29.
This solemn moment of the Holy Ordination was concelebrated by Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, the Provincial and 40 other priests, together with 1500 faithful. This was first ordination at Don Bosco Parish, Ravulapalem and it was apt that it was celebrated during the annual feast of St. John Bosco, our father and founder and the patron of the parish. Deacon Christuraju was accompanied by his parents to the altar as a sign of offering the gift that they received from God, back to God. The Holy service began with a brief introduction of the candidate’s life. After the celebration the newly ordained priest proposed the vote of thanks.
As a province we thank his parents for this precious gift to the congregation and Bishop Jayarao for conferring the ordination to Fr Christuraj and a word 
of thanks to all the Formators who accompanied him during the several years of formation.
