Don Bosco Academy, Nalgonda has impressed again by getting selected to participate at the 2 INDIAN RURAL OLYMPIC NATIONAL GAMES under 17 and 19. The team from Don Bosco Academy has been successful in the preliminary rounds organised by the INDIAN RURAL OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION at Mathur, Uttar Pradesh from 01.08.2017 to 05.07.2017. After winning all their initial stage matches with ease and pomp, they face a tough challenge in the finals, facing the a strong opposition from Uttarakand. Thanks to their physical conditioning and technical superiority they had the upper hand. In the finals of these preliminary rounds they had defeated Uttarakand.
Telangana Sports Association has recognized this triumph of Don Bosco Academy in the kho – kho and has awarded the team medals and shields. It was indeed a great day as our National Champions returned to a jubilant crowd of peers, teachers and Fathers. The parents, staff and students celebrated the arrival of these athletes with a cultural programme. The Academy in a special manner thanks Fr. Vatti Balashowreddy, the rector and the Salesian community for the encouragement, support and accompaniment.
