On 21 October, Saturday, 45 of our Confreres concluded their Annual Retreat at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad.
The Annual Spiritual Retreat is one of the most awaited moments during year for every religious. It is a time to take a break from the regular and mundane run of the mill, and take stock of their personal life and spiritual growth. 45 of our Confreres, of varying age and experience, gathered together on 16 October, 2017 to start their annual encounter with the Lord. They were ably guided during their six day retreat by Fr Xavier Sanjivi C.Ss.R, the retreat preacher. The confreres maintained a serene atmosphere during the retreat and were really happy with all the arrangements. The various talks by Fr Xavier, the good nights by Fr Provincial, Fr Vice Provincial and Fr Economer and the common moments of Prayer were all aimed at guiding confreres in this spiritual endeavour of theirs. A word of appreciation to Fr Yeddanapalli Selvaraj, the senior most confrere in our Province, who did not miss this annual appoint with himself and set a wonderful example for all the retreatants to follow.
The confreres on the last day, thanked the retreat preacher, Fr Xavier, Fr Vice Provincial, Fr Pandicherry Joseph and the Provincial House community for the various arrangement made. They also expressed the gratitude to the Kitchen staff who provided them with sumptuous and healthy food on time. The whole retreat energised and rejuvenated our confreres, who went back to the communities to continue their ministry in the Lord’s Vineyard.
