Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Hyderabad, 28 January 2021: Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK), Development Office of the Salesian province of St Joseph, Hyderabad, has been networking and organising training programmes for 124 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The first batch of 40 CSOs from Telangana gathered at BIRDY, Hyderabad for two days as part of training on Government Welfare Schemes. 
Mr Jayapaul Reddy, the consultant trainer for State Integrated Rural Development (SIRD) for Telangana State, was the resource person for training the first batch of CSOs on Government Welfare Schemes. He has meticulously explained various welfare schemes that are implemented in the state of Telangana. BSK also has published a handbook of various welfare Schemes that are carried out by Central Government and State Governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
From October 2019, BSK has trained 124 CSOs on Participatory Approach, Advocacy Skills, Lobbying Skills, Negotiation Skills until lockdown period March 2020 and now the training on Government Welfare Schemes. These trainings have created opportunities for CSOs to come together under one platform and discuss collectively on common issues at the District, State and Regional levels to exchange programmes implemented by them. This platform also created an atmosphere to plan and execute as a network.
Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, the executive Director of BSK addressed the CSOs and described the activities, programmes and trainings taken up by BSK and its training Institute at Don Bosco Human Resource Development Centre, Gagillapur. He also spoke about DHISHA, a Don Bosco Centre for Job placement and Career Guidance and collaborating with Don Bosco Job Placement Network, India while motivating them to pass on this information to the unemployed and those seeking for jobs. He further illustrated the UN Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) which are under implementation. BSK proudly states that it carries out successfully all the 17 SDGs across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Odhisha.
Now BSK is happy that the mission of Don Bosco carried out not only in 32 Don Bosco Institutions but also in 124 CSOs spread over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. They have imbibed the spirit of Don Bosco and wished to work with BSK collaboratively on the right-based activities of the Marginalised poor.
Today 40 CSOs from different parts of Telangana organised a Solidarity Rally to show oneness with the farmers who are agitating for the past 70 days on the outskirts of New Delhi and other parts of India. Mr Shankar, Natioinal Secretary for Dalita Bahujana Front (DBF) addressed the rally and demanded the Centreal Government to revoke the recent agricultural laws which are in favour of corporate companies. He also said that the farmers are the feeding bowl of India and there cannot exist future without them. Mr Thirupathi, Praja Sangalu, JAC, Working President, Telangana urged the other partners to take up such Solidarity Rallies at various district levels. Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar also addressed that “No farmers, No Food, No Future. Let us all continue the Solidarity with same zeal and enthusiasm until Government reverts”.
The CSOs thanked Bosconet, New Delhi and Don Bosco Mondo, Germany for supporting the trainings and helping to network together under BSK.
