It is always a home coming to a place from where you have learned the ropes.
A nostalgic moment of the past pupils gathering is cherished on 19th of Augustat at Don Bosco Ramantapur. Hundred of the instution's past pupils were present for the meet along with the current inmates. It is heart rending to see Nava Jeevan Children who passed out are well settled in life. Fr Balashowry the director of the instution has taken this chance to welcome the gathering and the guests of honour Mr Raja, the film star, Mr Parameshwarao, the corporator of Ramanthapur and Mr Ramesh the manager of Don Bosco constructions and past pupil. The programme is initiated with the lamp lightning ceremony. In his speech Mr Ramesh has spoken about his own experiences with the institution from his childhood and feels proud to say that he is the past pupil of Don Bosco. The safest place for an abandoned child is the house of Don Bosco says Mr Parameshwarao. The chief guest Mr Raja's message has moved many boys who are startled to know that the film star himself is an orphan. The day is studded with valuable input sessions taken by different resource persons on topics like personality development, emotional balance, leadership skills etc. A session on Don Bosco's preventive system also is included.
At the end of the day Fr Showrilu the in charge of the press, invited them to become active members of the past pupils unit; for which they have responded and formed themselves in to a full fledged past pupils unit with a leader besides this, some practical suggestions also are made on this day to keep the group togeather for a cause. Newly married members of the batch are honoured as a sign of respect. A grand soccer game is organized between the past pupil and the present inmates of the house before they could call it a day.
