On 26, January, Don Bosco Shrine, Bandlaguda and the parish community celebrated the feast of St. John Bosco, its patron on 27th January, 2013.
The parishners under the able guidance of the parish priest, Fr. Papaiah took part devoutly in the novena to the saint as a preparation for this great feast of the Apostle of the young. There was a flag hoisting on the first day of the Tridum, and there was a procession in honour of Don Bosco on the eve of the feast. Fr. Gopu Anand shared a reflection on this modern saint and how his dream is realized and being realized in more than 138 counties. Hundreds of people joined the procession which went around kalimandir, Dwakra Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Shandya Nagar avidya Nagar and St Micheal’s Colony. There were 4 Eucharistic celebrations organized on the Feast day and all the parishners with their friends and relatives venerated Don Bosco on this occasion.
