Don Bosco Academy has been economically supporting many poor children for their studies. A meeting was organized for the parents of these beneficiaries in order to review their progress in curricular and co-curricular fields on 14 March at the academy.   Parents of 48 children studying in Don Bosco High School attended the meet. The meeting commenced at 10 AM with the lighting of the lamp by Fr. Anand, The director of Don Bosco Academy and Fr. Balashowry the Principal of the Degree and PG College. The parents and the student expressed their gratitude Fr. Anand and the Academy for taking such initiatives to enable their children to continue their education.

Most of the students who study in Don Bosco High School are coming from the remote villages. As the economic condition of their parents’ is very poor they are not able to meet the educational expenses of their children. Children of these families do not have proper uniform, shoes, and books, they struggle to pay the school fee. To help and support these students in their education Fr. Anand initiated the sponsorship project. Thus there are forty eight students who are supported by the benefactors to bear their educational expenses. Fr. Anand who initiated this project addressed the parents of these children about the project, and the help they are rendered. Once in three moths these children will write letters to their benefactors thanking them for the help and support and communicate them about their studies, and life in the school and at home.

Fr. Balashowry speaking to the audience on the occasion explained them about the preventive system of Don Bosco. Parents impressed by this system of education thanked the staff and management for their honest endeavour to the poor and the marginalized.
